Training on offer!
 

  1. English Language Partners


Training to become an English language tutor, working one-on one with a new migrant or former refugee. The course will run through the month of September.  Phone Doug Adam for more information 539 4848 or email him doug.adam@englishlanguage.org.nz

  1. Refugee Services

Our service supports the resettlement of 60 refugees, mainly families, into Nelson each year, as part of the National Quota of 750,agreed between NZ and UNHCR.  Volunteer Support Workers are trained and placed in teams to assist the families for a minimum of 6 months.  We would welcome people who are interested in other cultures or who have experienced living within another culture    and can commit to helping a family for 6 months (new families arrive every 8 weeks) on our next training course. September 17-19th, Friday evening 6-8.30pm, Sat & Sunday 9am-5pm, at NMIT Campus.
