Coordinator - Alvina Tu'inukuafe
Kia ora! Welcome to New Zealand and South Auckland!
My name is Alvina Tu’inukuafe and I am the co-ordinator of the South Auckland Newcomers Network. I come from both a Māori (Native New Zealand) and Tongan background and have grown up in South and East Auckland all my life.
I am in my final year of completing my LLB – Law Degree, and am interested in Immigration, Employment and Refugee Law. Being of Tongan descent I have developed a passion for helping newcomers connect and become familiar with New Zealand’s facilities, services and opportunities that are offered.
My goal as a co-ordinator is to help newcomers, migrants and refugees settle into living in South Auckland and become an integral part of the unique community. I will help you connect with people in the South Auckland area and also organise events for everyone to meet. Some of the activities will include bush walking, dinner, sport games and anything else that you would like.
I invite all newcomers and locals of South Auckland to join South Auckland Newcomers Network to become apart of something bigger than ourselves! I look forward to hearing and meeting you all!
