JO: Hi, my name is Jo and in February 2012 my husband and I moved to Motueka. We knew no one except for family in Ruby Bay. Within days of arriving we went to a Pot Luck lunch for Newcomers. We found a group of people from far and wide with many life’s experiences and so welcoming and friendly! We have not looked back! We enjoy the regular weekly coffee mornings as well as other social activities. Socialising is such an important part of retirement, new to town or on your own. Come join us!
MEDWIN: My wife Jan and I emigrated to Motueka from York, UK in 2012, after early retirement. Our daughter Jen has lived here since 2006, with her Kiwi partner, and we knew the area pretty well after many glorious visits to Tasman over the years. So moving here almost felt like coming home, but joining the local Newcomers Group was the icing on the cake allowing us to gain a circle of good, helpful friends and lots of activities. Settling in? No problem. Just come and join us!
Please join our group, or just come along to one of our events, we look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Medwin & Jo!
